ARENIZ / User Agreement
ARENIZ End User License Agreement and Privacy Notice
Summary of key points
This summary is for convenience only. The full text below is the binding agreement.
- Licence, not a sale. You receive a limited, personal, non-commercial, non-transferable and revocable licence to play ARENIZ. You do not buy ownership of the game or of any of its content.
- Fair play. Cheats, bots, hacks, unauthorised modifications, reverse engineering, data mining and circumventing licence checks or updates are prohibited. Online cheating can lead to a permanent ban, a reset of your statistics and termination without refund.
- Online services can change. Accounts, matchmaking and room servers are provided without guaranteed availability and may change, be suspended or end. The game installs mandatory updates automatically.
- Your content and conduct. Behave respectfully. We may moderate, mute or ban. You grant us a licence to use the names, chat messages and other content you submit through the game.
- Streaming and videos are welcome for personal channels, with attribution, under the conditions in section 9.
- Your data. We process account, device, crash, telemetry, match and network data to run and protect the game. You have rights under the GDPR, the KVKK (Türkiye), the CCPA/CPRA (California) and other laws. Details are in Part B (Privacy Notice).
- Purchases and refunds. Store purchases follow the refund policy of the store. Mandatory consumer rights, including withdrawal rights in the EU and Türkiye, are preserved as described in section 13.
- Liability. The game is provided "as is". Our liability is limited to the amount you paid, except where the law does not allow a limitation.
- Health. Read the photosensitive epilepsy warning in section 17 before playing.
- Language. If you read a translation, the English version prevails where the law allows.
Part A — End User License Agreement
1. Who we are and when this agreement applies
1.1 This End User License Agreement (the "Agreement") is a legal agreement between you and [LICENSOR LEGAL ENTITY NAME], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("we", "us", "our" or the "Licensor"). You can contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL / CONTACT FORM URL].
1.2 The Agreement governs your use of the ARENIZ software, including the game client, its updates, patches, downloadable content, data files, artwork, audio, music, text, maps, characters and documentation (together the "Game"), and the online services we provide for the Game, such as accounts, friends lists, matchmaking, internet rooms, room servers, update servers, bug reporting, sharing and the areniz.com website features connected to the Game (together the "Services").
1.3 By selecting "I have read and accept" and pressing "Accept", or by installing, copying, launching or otherwise using the Game, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to this Agreement and that you have read the Privacy Notice in Part B. If you do not agree, do not use the Game: select "Decline", and the Game will close.
1.4 If you accept on behalf of a minor, you confirm that you are the minor's parent or legal guardian and that you accept this Agreement on the minor's behalf and are responsible for the minor's use of the Game.
1.5 Some platforms and stores (for example Steam, the Apple App Store or Google Play) have their own terms. Where they apply to your purchase or use, they apply in addition to this Agreement. If such platform terms conflict with this Agreement and the platform requires its terms to prevail, the platform terms prevail to the extent of the conflict.
2. Eligibility and minimum age
2.1 You must be at least [MINIMUM AGE] years old, or the higher minimum age required in your country to consent to the processing of personal data for online services, to accept this Agreement and to create an account.
2.2 If you are younger than that age, you may use the Game only with the consent and under the supervision of your parent or legal guardian, who must accept this Agreement for you. Online features may be unavailable to you.
2.3 You may not use the Game or the Services if you are barred from doing so under the laws of your country or under applicable sanctions (see section 18).
3. Licence grant
3.1 The Game is licensed, not sold. Subject to your continuing compliance with this Agreement and to your having lawfully obtained the Game, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to download, install and use one copy of the Game on devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial entertainment use only.
3.2 Your licence is bound to the platform or store where you obtained the Game and, where applicable, to the account through which you obtained it (for example your store account or your ARENIZ account). A purchase on one platform does not grant a licence on another platform, unless we expressly state otherwise.
3.3 The number of devices on which you may install or activate the Game at the same time may be limited by the platform or by our licence checks.
3.4 All rights not expressly granted to you in this Agreement are reserved by us and our licensors. No right or licence is granted by implication, estoppel or otherwise.
3.5 Pre-release, test, preview or beta versions may be provided free of charge, may be time-limited, may contain errors, may be switched off remotely and may have their progress reset. They are licensed under this Agreement unless separate test terms apply.
4. Restrictions
4.1 Except as expressly permitted by this Agreement or by mandatory law, you must not, and must not allow or help anyone else to:
- copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, resell, rent, lease, lend, sublicense, transfer or otherwise make the Game or any part of it available to third parties;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decrypt or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, network protocols or file formats of the Game or the Services;
- data mine, scrape, extract, rip or export assets, models, textures, audio, music, text, maps or other content from the Game, or publish such extracted content;
- modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of the Game, except through official tools or features we provide for that purpose;
- remove, alter or obscure any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice, logo or identity mark in the Game;
- circumvent, disable or interfere with any copy protection, digital rights management (DRM), licence check, sign-in requirement, account verification, update gate, version check, anti-cheat or security feature;
- sell, buy, rent, lend, share or transfer accounts, or let anyone else use your account;
- operate, host or connect to unauthorised servers, emulators, proxies or private services that imitate, replace or redirect the Services;
- use the Game for any commercial purpose, including in internet cafés, gaming centres, paid events, tournaments with paid entry or prizes, or advertising, without our prior written permission, except as allowed for streaming and videos in section 9;
- use the Game or the Services for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of any law or the rights of others.
4.2 Where mandatory law gives you a right to decompile the Game for interoperability, or another right that cannot be excluded by contract, the restrictions above apply only to the extent permitted by that law. Before exercising such a right, you must first ask us whether the information you need is available.
5. Online services, accounts and availability
5.1 Some features of the Game, including internet multiplayer, matchmaking, internet rooms, friends, sharing, bug reporting and licence checks, require an internet connection and an account. You are responsible for your internet connection and any costs of it.
5.2 You must give accurate information when you create an account, keep your sign-in credentials confidential and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for all activity on your account, unless it results from our own breach of security.
5.3 Accounts are personal. We may refuse, reclaim or change account names and display names that are offensive, misleading, infringing or impersonating someone else.
5.4 We provide the Services on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Services will be available at any particular time, uninterrupted, secure or free from errors, latency or data loss. Matchmaking, internet rooms and room servers are operated with reasonable care but without any guaranteed uptime or service level.
5.5 We may change, suspend, limit or discontinue any part of the Services, including specific modes, regions, servers or features, at any time, for example for maintenance, security, legal reasons, or because operating them is no longer commercially reasonable. Where the Services are a paid feature of the Game and we discontinue them permanently, we will give reasonable advance notice in the Game or on areniz.com, where reasonably possible. Offline single-player features will remain usable to the extent technically possible.
5.6 We may set limits on the use of the Services, such as limits on the number of rooms, players, messages or requests, to protect the Services and other players.
6. Updates and automatic updates
6.1 We may provide updates, patches, fixes, new versions or changes to the Game ("Updates"), including Updates that add, change or remove features or content, fix errors, improve security or ensure compatibility with the Services.
6.2 You consent to the Game checking for, downloading and installing Updates automatically. The Game checks for Updates when it starts and from time to time while it runs in the menus.
6.3 Some Updates are mandatory. While a mandatory Update is pending, online features, and where necessary the Game itself, may be unavailable until the Update is installed. Online play may require the latest version.
6.4 Updates are part of the Game and are governed by this Agreement, unless we provide them with different terms. Where mandatory consumer law gives you a right to receive updates needed to keep the Game in conformity, that right is not affected.
7. Cheats, fair play and enforcement
7.1 If the Game offers cheat codes or similar features for offline single-player modes, you may use them only where and as the Game offers them. They may be disabled at any time, may be disabled for your account or device, and may be unavailable in multiplayer.
7.2 In online and multiplayer modes you must not:
- use cheats, trainers, bots, scripts, macros that automate play, hacks, memory editors, packet manipulators, unauthorised overlays or any other unauthorised software or hardware that gives an unfair advantage;
- exploit bugs, glitches or errors instead of reporting them;
- manipulate matchmaking, statistics, rankings, leaderboards or match results, for example by collusion, intentional disconnects, win trading or the use of multiple accounts;
- attack, overload, probe or disrupt the Services, room servers or other players' connections, including denial-of-service attacks;
- harvest other players' data or impersonate other players, our staff or us.
7.3 If we reasonably believe that you have broken section 4 or this section 7, we may, at our discretion and to the extent permitted by law: issue a warning; remove or reset statistics, rankings, records and match results; restrict features; suspend or permanently ban your account, device or connection from the Services; and terminate your licence. A ban or termination for cheating or for another serious or repeated breach is without refund, except where mandatory law requires a refund.
7.4 We may use automated systems and human review to detect cheating and abuse. Where the law requires it, you may ask for a human review of a decision and we will tell you how to appeal.
8. Code of conduct, chat and user-generated content
8.1 When you use the Services you must treat other players and our staff with respect. You must not post, send or display content that is unlawful, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory, deceptive, infringing, spam or advertising, or that contains other people's personal data or malicious code.
8.2 "User Content" means anything you create, submit or transmit through the Game or the Services, including display names, commander names, room names, chat messages, captions, shared screenshots, bug reports and feedback.
8.3 You are solely responsible for your User Content. You confirm that you have all rights needed to submit it and that it does not violate this Agreement or the rights of others.
8.4 You keep any rights you have in your User Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, moderate, translate, adapt (for example for formatting) and distribute your User Content for the purpose of operating, providing, promoting, protecting and improving the Game and the Services. This licence lasts for as long as your User Content is stored by us and for a reasonable time afterwards for backups and legal obligations. Where the law allows, you waive any moral rights in your User Content to the extent needed for these purposes.
8.5 We may, but are not obliged to, monitor, filter, moderate, review, hide, remove or refuse User Content, and mute, restrict or ban players, at our discretion, in particular in response to reports. Chat may be filtered automatically. You can report players and content through the features in the Game or through [CONTACT EMAIL / CONTACT FORM URL].
8.6 Chat and communications in the Game are not private correspondence with us. Do not share passwords, payment details or other sensitive information in chat.
9. Streaming, videos and screenshots
9.1 You may stream, record and publish videos, screenshots and other recordings of your own gameplay of the Game on personal channels, including channels that earn revenue through the ordinary partner, advertising or donation programmes of video and streaming platforms, provided that:
- you clearly credit the Game as "ARENIZ" and do not suggest that we endorse, sponsor or are affiliated with your content;
- your content includes substantial original gameplay or commentary, and is not merely a copy of the Game's cinematics, music, artwork or trailers;
- you do not distribute the Game's audio or music separately from gameplay, and you respect any music that we mark as not licensed for streaming;
- you do not use our trademarks or logos except to identify the Game, and you do not use them in your channel name, branding or advertising;
- your content does not reveal unreleased content, test builds or confidential information, and does not break section 4, section 7 or section 8;
- your content complies with the law and the terms of the platform you publish on.
9.2 Any other commercial use, including sponsored broadcasts paid for by a third party specifically to feature the Game, paid tournaments and the sale of recordings, requires our prior written permission.
9.3 This permission is a revocable, non-exclusive licence. We may withdraw it in general or for specific content or persons, for example if content is harmful to the Game or its community, and you must then stop and remove the affected content within a reasonable time.
10. Intellectual property and trademarks
10.1 The Game, the Services and all content in them, including code, artwork, 3D models, animations, maps, characters, names, story, text, music, sound effects, user interface and the selection and arrangement of all of these, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, design and other intellectual property laws and international treaties. All rights are reserved.
10.2 "ARENIZ", "ZOGOR GAMES", "DATAIZ", the faction names and the related logos and identity marks are trademarks or identity marks of the Licensor or its affiliates. You may not use them without our prior written permission, except as permitted in section 9.
10.3 Your licence does not give you any ownership of the Game or of any virtual item, statistic, ranking or other content in it. Such items have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money.
11. Feedback and bug reports
11.1 If you send us ideas, suggestions, feedback, bug reports, logs or screenshots ("Feedback"), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to use, copy, modify, publish and exploit the Feedback for any purpose, without any obligation to you, including compensation or attribution. We have no obligation to use the Feedback or to keep it confidential, except for personal data, which we handle as described in Part B.
11.2 After review, a bug report may be published in our public bug tracker without your name, e-mail address, account or IP address.
12. Third-party components and licences
12.1 The Game contains third-party software, fonts and assets that are used under their own licences, including the Godot Engine, which is licensed under the MIT licence, the open-source components included in the Godot Engine, the bundled fonts under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, and audio recordings under public-domain or CC0 dedications. The complete notices are available in the Game under Credits, then Licences. Nothing in this Agreement limits your rights under those licences for the components concerned.
12.2 Third-party services, such as sign-in providers and stores, are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
12.3 Notice and takedown. If you believe that content in the Game or the Services infringes your copyright or other rights, send a notice to [CONTACT EMAIL / CONTACT FORM URL] with: your contact details; a description of the protected work; the exact location of the allegedly infringing content; a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised; a statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them; and your physical or electronic signature. This procedure is intended to comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the EU Digital Services Act and comparable laws. We may remove content and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. Misleading notices may lead to liability.
13. Purchases, refunds and consumer rights
13.1 Store purchases. If you obtained the Game or any content through a third-party store or platform (for example Steam, the Apple App Store or Google Play), the purchase, payment and any refund are handled by that store under its own terms and refund policy. Refund requests must be made to that store.
13.2 Direct purchases. If you bought the Game directly from us, you may request a refund within [DIRECT-SALE REFUND WINDOW] after purchase through [CONTACT EMAIL / CONTACT FORM URL], subject to any conditions published on our sales page. We may refuse a refund where the licence was terminated for a breach of this Agreement or where we detect abuse of refunds, unless mandatory law requires a refund. Approved refunds are paid using the original payment method, and the licence for the refunded copy ends.
13.3 Right of withdrawal in the EU, the UK and Türkiye. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Türkiye and you buy digital content from us directly, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Because the Game is digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, when you ask for the download or the access to start immediately, you expressly consent to the supply starting before the withdrawal period ends and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the download or the streaming of the content has started. We will confirm this consent and acknowledgement in the order confirmation. For Türkiye, this follows the Distance Contracts Regulation, under which the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content delivered instantly in electronic form once performance has begun with your approval.
13.4 Mandatory consumer rights. Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits rights that you have as a consumer under mandatory law, including statutory rights for defective or non-conforming digital content, such as those under EU Directive 2019/770, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502. If any part of this Agreement conflicts with those rights, those rights prevail.
13.5 Prices, taxes and currency are as stated by the store or on our sales page at the time of purchase.
14. Disclaimer of warranties
14.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Game and the Services are provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranty of any kind. We and our licensors expressly disclaim all warranties and conditions, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, quiet enjoyment and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Game will meet your requirements, be compatible with your device, or operate without interruption or errors, or that defects will be corrected.
14.2 Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted, and any mandatory statutory warranty is limited to the shortest period the law allows.
15. Limitation of liability
15.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we, our affiliates, licensors, suppliers and staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, use or saved games, or for computer failure or malfunction, arising out of or in connection with the Game, the Services or this Agreement, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
15.2 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Game, the Services or this Agreement is limited to the amount you actually paid for the licence of the Game during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or, if you paid nothing, to fifty (50) U.S. dollars or the equivalent in your local currency.
15.3 Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for intent or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK or Türkiye, we are liable under the statutory provisions for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for breach of essential contractual obligations limited to the foreseeable damage typical of the contract.
16. Indemnification
16.1 To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless us, our affiliates, licensors and staff from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in connection with your breach of this Agreement, your User Content, or your misuse of the Game or the Services. This section does not apply to consumers to the extent mandatory consumer law prohibits it.
17. Health and safety warning
17.1 Photosensitive epilepsy warning. A very small percentage of people may experience epileptic seizures or loss of consciousness when exposed to certain visual images, including flashing lights, patterns or explosions that appear in video games. Even people with no history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition. If you or anyone in your family has epilepsy or has ever had a seizure, consult a doctor before playing.
17.2 Stop playing immediately and consult a doctor if you or your child experience any of the following: dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, disorientation, involuntary movements or convulsions. Parents should supervise children's use of video games.
17.3 To reduce the risk: play in a well-lit room; sit at a reasonable distance from the screen; avoid playing when tired or short of sleep; take a break of 10 to 15 minutes every hour; and use the Game's accessibility options, such as reduced motion, where available.
17.4 Stop playing if your hands, wrists, arms or eyes become tired or sore, and seek medical advice if discomfort continues.
18. Export control and sanctions
18.1 The Game may be subject to export control and sanctions laws, including those of the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom and Türkiye. You confirm that you are not located in a country or region subject to comprehensive embargoes, and that you are not on any list of sanctioned or restricted persons. You must not export, re-export or use the Game in violation of those laws.
19. Term and termination
19.1 This Agreement is effective from the moment you accept it or first use the Game, and continues until it is terminated.
19.2 You may terminate this Agreement at any time by uninstalling the Game, destroying all copies in your possession and, if you wish, deleting your account.
19.3 We may suspend or terminate your licence and your access to the Services, with or without notice, if you materially or repeatedly breach this Agreement, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Game or the Services as described in section 5. Where reasonable and permitted, we will tell you the reason.
19.4 On termination, all rights granted to you end immediately, you must stop using the Game and delete all copies, and you have no right to a refund except where section 13 or mandatory law provides otherwise.
19.5 Survival. Sections 4, 7.3, 8.4, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19.4, 19.5 and 20 to 22, and any other provision that by its nature should survive, survive the termination of this Agreement.
20. Changes to this Agreement
20.1 We may update this Agreement from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the Game, the Services, our practices or the law. The version number and date are shown at the top of this Agreement.
20.2 If we make a material change, we will tell you in the Game, and you will be asked to read and accept the updated Agreement before you continue to use the Game. If you do not accept a material change, you may stop using the Game and, where mandatory law provides it, terminate the Agreement; the previous version continues to apply to your past use.
20.3 Changes that are not material, such as corrections or clarifications, take effect when published.
21. Governing law, venue and dispute resolution
21.1 This Agreement and any dispute arising out of or in connection with it are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW / VENUE], excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
21.2 Before starting any formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL / CONTACT FORM URL] and to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
21.3 Subject to section 21.4, the courts of [GOVERNING LAW / VENUE] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement.
21.4 If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you have your habitual residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence where the law gives you that right. Consumers in Türkiye may apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committees or the Consumer Courts within the statutory limits. Consumers in the EU may also use an alternative dispute resolution body where available.
21.5 To the extent permitted by law, any claim must be brought individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative action.
22. General provisions
22.1 Entire agreement. This Agreement, including the Privacy Notice in Part B and any additional terms referred to in it, is the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Game and the Services and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings on that subject.
22.2 Severability. If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible or replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to its purpose, and the remaining provisions remain in full force.
22.3 No waiver. Our failure or delay in enforcing any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
22.4 Assignment. You may not assign or transfer this Agreement or any rights under it without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer this Agreement, in whole or in part, to an affiliate or to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of assets, provided that your rights as a consumer are not reduced.
22.5 Force majeure. We are not liable for any delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, epidemics, government actions, power or internet outages and attacks on our systems.
22.6 Notices. We may send notices to you in the Game, by e-mail to the address linked to your account or on areniz.com. You may send notices to us at [CONTACT EMAIL / CONTACT FORM URL] or [REGISTERED ADDRESS].
22.7 Language. This Agreement is drafted in English. Translations are provided for convenience. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between the English version and a translation, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by applicable law.
22.8 Relationship. Nothing in this Agreement creates a partnership, joint venture, agency or employment relationship between you and us.
Part B — Privacy Notice
B1. Controller and contact
B1.1 The controller responsible for your personal data in connection with the Game and the Services is [LICENSOR LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL / CONTACT FORM URL]. Where the law requires a representative in the EU, the UK or Türkiye, it is: [EU/UK/TR REPRESENTATIVE, IF REQUIRED].
B1.2 This Privacy Notice explains what personal data we collect when you use the Game and the Services, why we use it, how long we keep it and which rights you have. The privacy policy published at areniz.com applies in addition for the website.
B2. What we collect
- Account data: account identifier, linked sign-in provider identifiers (for example Google, Apple, Facebook or X, or Steam where available), e-mail address, a one-way hash of your password if you use e-mail sign-in (never the password itself), display name or commander name, friend code, friends, friend requests and blocks, account status and the dates of account creation and last sign-in.
- Device and platform information: operating system and version, device type, graphics hardware, screen resolution, language, game version and build number, platform and distribution channel, and a device identifier generated by the Game.
- Crash and bug reports: when you choose to send a report, its title, your description, the game version, platform and language, an optional screenshot and, only if you tick the option, an excerpt of the log files with personal paths removed. Crash information is stored on your device and is sent only when you choose to send it.
- Telemetry and match data: while you play, the Game may send limited technical and gameplay information, such as session start and end, mode, map, faction, duration, version, performance indicators and cheat-code events, linked to your account or device identifier. Match statistics, records, saved games and settings are stored on your device.
- Network data for multiplayer: your IP address and connection data are processed by our room servers and, in direct or LAN play, by other players' devices, to connect you to matches, keep the connection stable and prevent abuse. Rate-limit counters use a keyed one-way hash of your IP address.
- Update and licence checks: when the Game checks for updates or verifies its licence, it sends the game version, build number, platform, distribution channel and, if you are signed in, your account identifier. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security.
- Chat and User Content: chat messages, room names, display names, captions, shared screenshots and reports you send, and moderation records.
- Communications: messages you send to support and our replies.
- Acceptance record: the version, date and language of this Agreement that you accepted, stored on your device.
We do not receive your payment card details; payments are processed by the store or payment provider. We do not use advertising identifiers and we do not sell or rent your personal data.
B3. Why we use your data and on which legal basis
- To provide the Game and the Services you request (accounts, multiplayer, matchmaking, friends, sharing, updates, support): performance of the contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c)).
- To protect the Game and players (licence checks, anti-cheat, abuse prevention, security logs, moderation, enforcement): our legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)).
- To fix errors and improve the Game (crash and bug reports, telemetry, performance data): our legitimate interests, or your consent where the law requires consent.
- To comply with legal obligations (tax, consumer law, responses to authorities, notice and takedown): legal obligation (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c); KVKK Art. 5(2)(ç)).
- To establish, exercise or defend legal claims: our legitimate interests (KVKK Art. 5(2)(e)).
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
B4. Who receives your data
We share personal data only as needed: with our hosting and infrastructure providers, who process it on our behalf under contract; with sign-in providers and stores, under their own privacy policies; with other players, who can see your display name, friend code, chat messages and in-match information; with professional advisers; and with authorities when the law requires it. If our business is reorganised or sold, data may be transferred to the successor under this Privacy Notice.
B5. International transfers
We and our service providers may process personal data in countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Türkiye. Where required, we protect such transfers with appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or, for Türkiye, the standard contracts and notification procedure under Article 9 of the KVKK. You can ask us for information about these safeguards.
B6. How long we keep data
We keep account data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your account data, friends, sessions and shared content are deleted from our live systems without undue delay; backups are overwritten within a limited period. Security logs and rate-limit counters are kept for a short period, normally no longer than necessary for security. Bug reports may remain in the public tracker without any link to you. Telemetry is kept in identifiable form only as long as needed for its purpose and is then deleted or anonymised. Data needed for legal obligations or claims is kept for the period the law requires. Data stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the Game.
B7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to: be informed about and access your personal data; obtain a copy in a portable format; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data deleted; restrict or object to processing, including processing based on legitimate interests; withdraw consent; not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that has legal or similarly significant effects without human review; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
